How the Program Helps
Clients have often been on a frustrating search for answers about their mysterious symptoms. This search leads to patterns that create or sustain food sensitivity. The program helps clients take a step back, look at the bigger picture and change these patterns. The slow, steady steps will fundamentally change how you approach food and your health.
Phase 1 - Break the Food Fear & Symptom Cycle: When you suffer from mysterious symptoms, it is easy to get lost in the food fear & symptom cycle. You will learn how this cycle develops and the five steps to step back from it.
Phase 2 - Reintroduce Food: Reintroductions can start very gently, such as touching your trigger foods. You will have a unique plan based on your comfort level.
Phase 3 - Next Steps: We create a plan to continue your wellness journey.
Additional Support Topics: Live Well With a Restricted Diet is an outline of common struggles, but we can help you with any restricted-diet challenges.
I’ve listed the typical progress through the six month support period, but each client is different and has a unique journey.
|Appt #1||We talk about your food concerns and goals.|
|Self-Study||Clients work through Phase 1: Break Your Food Fear & Symptom Cycle and complete the worksheet- Change the Patterns that Fuel the Cycle. Reading the articles and watching the videos takes 1-2 hours. However, I suggest that clients expect to spend about five hours, so they have time to reflect on their learning.|
|Appt #2||We discuss the worksheet and create a plan to step back from the food fear cycle.|
|Self-Study||Clients follow the plan with e-mail support and review Phase 2: Reintroduce Foods.|
|Appt #3||We create a food reintroduction plan. Clients are often nervous to start reintroductions, so there’s no rush for the third appointment. It happens when you are ready. The plan can start very slowly (such as touching your trigger foods) and can progress gradually, at your comfort level.|
|Self-Study||Clients continue with the plan and review Phase 3: Next Steps.|
|Appt #4||We celebrate your success and plan for your next steps.|
Support Along The Journey
My motto is expert guidance and caring support. The best part of the program is talking with a knowledgable dietitian that “gets it.” I will help you decide what changes to make and will be there every step of the way. Clients can e-mail as often as they want, and I respond the same day.
